Feel Like Complaining

I was reading MSN yesterday when I saw the headline that an actor was facing eviction from his home. Mmmmm, another Ed McMahan story? What a sad tale indeed when I read that Isaiah Washington and his wife's landlord started an eviction process against them because they are $100,000.00 behind in rent. Say What? How does one get so behind on rent? Well, when the rent is $20,000.00 a month, that's how. That must be some fancy digs in L.A Mr. Washington, to be paying that kind of rent. Holy cow, my husband didn't earn much more than that last year . I can't even fathom paying that much....for anything, let alone rent. Maybe you and Ed should be roomies. Maybe you should have been nicer to T.R. Knight, then you would still have a job. Maybe you and your wife should come and live with me for awhile in my modest home. Have you ever had days that as much as you tried, did not turn out like you wanted? The day started promising as I was lovingly making breakfast for my husband and daughter. He has to work today and she is going with him. I told him about an email he received and he said "If you feel so obliged, you can answer it for me". "No, actually I do NOT feel obliged because I have a life too and that is not in my life plan today", I told him. The man barely knows how to turn the computer on let alone answer an email. I help him sometimes by replying when he is sitting next to me telling me what to say, but I felt this one deserved more of a personal attention even with misspellings. OK, good mood sucked out of me already and it's only 9:00 am. I wanted to take a nice relaxing walk with my dog, but somewhere different. Kden, next time hubby wants you to pick up something, tell him to do it himself . My husband is having little toe problems and will be having surgery in a few weeks to hopefully correct it. He was also without his car today so he asked he if I could just 'swing by' his foot doctor's office and pick up a few more cushion pads for his toe. He had called and asked if he could have a few so I didn't think it would be such a big deal as it was on my home from work. I walk in and when I finally got to talk to the receptionist I told her what I was there for. She got up and went in the back and came back and said I would have to wait for Michelle and it would be a few minutes. Ten minutes later a women from the back came out and put a magazine back in the rack, walking right past me. I waited another ten minutes and then went to the receptionist and said "I can't wait any longer, I need to go." She said "Oh, let me go look and see if Michelle is finished....

I refuse to shovel snow anymore. I have hit the "I don't give a crap" wall. Yesterday we had a blizzard that dumped about 4 inches. I know it's not much but we have had ENOUGH. Our area has received 88 inches this winter; the 5th largest record so far. The snow was melting nicely, I could see all of my lawn, the Robins are looking for worms and my dog and I were getting our much needed walks. The shovels have been put away as well as my boots and I'm not getting either out again. So the paperboy and mailman will just have to trudge on through. And my feet will have to freeze, that's just the way it goes. I'm done.

My husband and his work partner Rick were finally able to hire a local guy to be a relief driver. Their employer is based out of state and they have one relief driver to work that area plus another one. He never really has the time to be able to come into our area to help out with vacations, jury duty, or illness when dh or Rick need time off. Last year we had to take our vacations in weekend bites because there was no relief driver. Rick didn't take a vacation at all. Yet.....they are given paid vacations. Go figure. They started the process with two others but they didn't want to go through the pain it takes to get hired; fingerprints, background check, and many tests to get their cards to go into banks and onto airport runways. Rick and dh are courier drivers and deliver/pick up bank material from banks and two different airports. Larry went on Rick's route which runs from about 2:30 am to 11:30 am. It's just like me to miss my own anniversary. One year ago on February 28th I started this lil' ol' blog. I've whined, bitched, moaned, and complained my way through an entire year and loved every minute of it. I hope to be around for many more years doing the same thing. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by to agree with me. So far I haven't found anyone who disagrees with me, unless you count HumorBlogger who still doesn't THINK I'M FUNNY. Complain Away Kden!
