Luka

Image
I have not seen Luka in 2 years! I've been busy the last few times she's needed a sitter. Occasionally I will look at Rover to see if any pets have had a different sitter and although I've been busy, it makes me sad. I found out a few months ago that Chico's dad got another dog. There are no pics but she's a 6 year old teacup Chihuahua named Tina. I thought he would have told me but there's no reason to I guess, they've moved on. Anyway, back to Luka. It took him a day to get acquainted with me again. He's all shaved and looks different for being a Pomeranian, but he's still just as adorable and funny. He's supposed to get one Greenie in the morning and ONE chicken strip in the afternoon. Do you know how many chicken strips I have doled out? Many. He doesn't like Greenies apparently, or that's what he's telling me. His little trick is to ask to go out, then he knows he gets a treat and Granny Kden obliges (most of the time). Next week...

That Cat!

Just more about Abe and his constant need to get into trouble. A long time ago, I wrote about him knocking things off the table when he's ready to eat. Along with that he's upgraded to bigger things. A few times in the morning, I have found a lamp on the floor or just leaning on his tall scratching post ready to go at any second. Along side our microwave we keep some glasses and jars. Those are always on the floor at least once a day.  One day Tony and I were gone and when we came home, a large circular saw blade that my mom had painted was on the ground. That thing is heavy and held up with an anchored screw. It gouged the wall and hutch on the way down. He's never touched that before, but has been known to tap on things that are hanging on the wall. So either he tapped it so hard, that it jumped off the screw or we had an earthquake. He's lucky it didn't decapitate him! He loves her printer and can spend hours in her room staring at it, especially if we have print...

Needs To Be Said

This is all I've got this week. I ordered these stickers from Etsy (TurtleGooseGraphics) and am very much looking forward to sticking them around town.

I've had almost 2 months off work and although it hurts my wallet, I've really enjoyed being home. Later this month, things will pick up again.  These are my most recent paintings. I hope I'm not repeating any. Today is root canal day; Oh Joy! Wednesday I'm having an MRI of my low back. My legs have been hurting so much more and it's worse when I sit. I went out for coffee with Margie to the Kitty Cantina, and we had so much fun just watching adoptable kittens run around. The seats we were sitting on though were hard, and the next day I was in so much pain, it took all I had not to go to the ER. I was fortunate enough to get in to see my doctor the next day and I started crying. Just trying to explain what I'm feeling is so hard so she decided to set me up with an MRI.  Thursday we're going to Hank's funeral. He got pneumonia again and passed the day after he turned 101. Tony never did get to visit him and although Hank called one day, he didn't hear...
