Feel Like Complaining

Because of my Glaucoma I need to see my eye doctor every 6 months. Every two years I usually get my vision tested. I told him my right eye was getting blurry and I'm not seeing very well. After the usual testing he wrote a script for new lenses. They always push new frames too but I've had my current pair 5-6 years and I really like them, so why switch?  When the lenses were ready I just popped in to have them switched out. I try to wait a few weeks before deciding if there's a problem or not. I had the worst time with my vision, that eye had a pulling sensation that never went away. I went in and 2 different girls out front adjusted, looked up numbers, and generally wasted so much time trying to figure it out. One of them said I could see the doc real quick. All he did was ask me 1 or 2 a few times and the lenses seemed correct for how I was tested prior. I did tell him my eyes were really dry so he gave me some drops and said if that didn't help, come back in two week...

Last weekend I got to stay with a new doggo named Luna. She's a 4 year old Pit mix and is about the sweetest girl I have spent time with. The only time she got the slightest annoying was in the morning when she felt I wasn't moving fast enough to get ready for a walk. She does not believe in person space and needs to sit on the couch right up on ya! Her favorite thing to do is play tug but I couldn't do it as she's so strong and I like my shoulders attached where they are. She eats her meals from a weighted rolling dispenser and I've never seen a dog so happy about eating; her tail is always moving.  I was nervous about walking her because she is so meaty and strong, but she's been trained to keep  her eye on the prize when walking (string cheese). This month marks the 10 year anniversary of when I went to Alaska with Barb. Although it wasn't a great trip I'm glad we got to go. I've only seen Barb a few times since and probably never will again because she moved back to our hometown. I still have all the t-shirts I bought there but have significantly outgrown them; that's what 10 years does to you. Faith just passed her one year anniversary at the vet's office. She had her first ever review and was so nervous. Like any job, she's doing great with some things but could use improvements on others. Being such a busy office, she doesn't get the training time to be shown some things. She can give injections but hasn't drawn blood yet. The doctors want everyone to be able to also work the front so she's been answering phones and making phone calls to check on post surgery animals. It always seems like I'm late to the party with some things, but recently joined the bandwagon of air fry cookery. Several years ago I did buy a NuWave oven but just couldn't get the hang of it and it was so hard to clean. Since Tony is our Italian dishwasher and complained every time I used it; I eventually sold it. I started with a tiny 1.5 qt just to get the hang of it and after a few days, started looking around for something bigger. I found one on FB marketplace and we've used it almost every day since and I take the baby with me for longer pet sitting stays. Coincidently, I started back on low carb eating right before these purchases and not surprisingly, most recipes don't really cater to this. One Sunday I spent the entire day with these 4. I had met their moms earlier this summer and I don't believe they've ever left their dogs with anyone. They asked a lot of questions and then suggested that some day I come over to spend the day to see if I would even like to someday sit for them. They were very apologetic for their typical dog behavior. A few months passed though so I figured they had moved on to someone else.  Finally they contacted me saying they had a function planned and asked if I wanted to babysit. Two Corgis, (Ebie 1 and Harriet 3) and two Yorkie mixes (Seamus 11 and Fiona 10). I'm not sure I ever got  the names straight of the 2 little ones; they look too much alike to me.
