This is the time of year I always have my yearly Dr. visit. Beforehand, I do all the required labs. I got the results way before my visit and was very dismayed to see that my AC1 had jumped almost a full point since last year; and this is with Metformin. Also, my AST was high which is used to assess liver health. It has never been as issue before. My Triglycerides are still high too (with meds). In the meantime, I went to a PA-C because of pain in my lower abdomen I've had for at least 20 years. It comes and goes so that's why I didn't bother mentioning it before. Now it's become more constant. After a CT scan and while sitting in my Dr's office, she said all it showed was fatty liver disease. She ordered an ultrasound to get a better look at that. For now I'm to double the Metformin for 3 months, then retest. If there's no change, she'll add Jardiance. I told her I've been doing low sodium for at least a year and I don't think my BP is much bet...
