Feel Like Complaining

Literally and figuratively. We've had a couple of huge rainstorms come through and when the storm drains can't keep up; where do you think the water goes? It comes up through our basement drain.  Thankfully it's only happened about 4 times since we've lived here, but it still throws you off and leaves a big mess. I was staying with Romeo so Faith got the pleasure this time. Water soaks a carpet (washable this time) as well as flows into a closet and old towels have to sop it all up. It takes the drain some time to finally go down and I don't know if there's any way to fix it. If there is, I'm sure it's expensive.  I'm now taking Restatis for my dry eyes, which could take up to 6 months to fully work. So other than drops and ointment at night, I do warm compresses and have a humidifier by my chair. I did get new glasses and the reading part is great but the distance...not so great.   Last Tuesday I got a notice from FB telling me I was suspended for 3 days for posting this picture in 2012! It went against their community rules for child sexual exploitation. I understand and appreciate their stance but Gee Whillikers Zuck, it's a meme, not child porn. I'm the meme queen and just find humor in almost everything. I appealed but they still said no. It's not like I took the picture or posted it to a nefarious site. It just made me feel like a creeping pedo and I frantically looked back through my pictures to the beginning of time (2009) to see if I had posted anything else objectionable. I did delete one of a hairless cat showing it's boobs. You never know! I'm sure no one missed me but I missed not being able to like anything or comment. I'm still busy making garden sparklers and also made a few plant pokes. None have any function except to look pretty. I finally got all of my wind chimes hung up, it was difficult finding enough spaces to put them so I had to get creative. I'm at the point now where I will put beads on anything. So if you ever come to my house, don't stand still too long because I will bead you! I finished my third tin box miniature; I think it's my favorite. It's an underwater scene and the little house sits on an island. The bottom light is color changing in blue, red, and green. It's hard to see all the detail but it has bubbles and a treasure chest. I'm getting faster at it; this one took me about 7 hours. I ordered another one, a different style but just as small. I'll wait a few months before I start that one.
