Teen Funnies

There is another account I follow on Instagram, his name is Chip Leighton and he does stand-up comedy among other things. Awhile back he wrote about his own kids as they went through learning how to drive or just things in general. That created a lot of comments from other parents and from time to time he will post them. They're hilarious but also makes me wonder how dumb teenagers can be. Still, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.  Life In General How do I make chicken breasts, but not dry like you make them? Can you make me a Dr. appointment to find out what my spirit animal is? Is euthanasia a country or a continent? How do you wash your face if you're not in the shower? What's the name of our mouth doctor? Is there such a thing as gloves for your feet? Why have I never had plain milk before, it's not that bad. FYI you can like my status but don't leave comments. Don't ever send me emojis again. Ew. What's our social security number? Is mentalpause t...

A Haiku

Not really, but a shortened version of my week. Laser eye surgery went well. New glasses soon. Warm. Two days. Yardwork.  Three days. Rest.  Body hurts. Chico's dad texted. Long, hard, trip. Chico rests. Now barking at squirrels in Florida. We miss him. Julie's cats again. Rocket sick. FIP. Death imminent without shots. Not approved in U.S. Available but expensive. Vets can't administer. I learned. 84 day treatment plan. Big needle. Medicine burns. Rocket hates me. Tears. Vertigo.  Tired. Two hour nap. Flippin' road construction.  Everywhere I Want To  Go! It takes a village. Faith, and Julie's daughters.  We're getting faster. Rocket still hates me. I hope it works. Tony orders hearing aids. We Can't  Wait :) At Steve's. Relaxing. Finally.

Just A Glimse

Recently I did some drop-ins for Julie and her cats. She has a new foster mama (Milkshake), who is not much older than a baby herself. I guess her Milkshake really did bring all the boys to the yard, ha. She had 5 kittens right before I started. Usually the mom stays with the kittens in a bedroom all of the time, but she lets her out occasionally when they're all home to supervise. She brings so much chaos to the house, wanting to fight all the other cats. It just changes the whole dynamic and I can see it in the household cats. They will hide upstairs, or not eat as well. I hardly ever take videos on my phone but thought it would be fun to show you what I do. There's a lot but they're only a minute or less long. So, that's just a snippet of what I do. I couldn't possibly show it all; the feeding, meowing, fighting, jumping on counters, and just general mayhem. It's like Abe x10.

Farewell Lil' Old Man

Chico had been with us for 3 weeks; but it will be his last stay. His dad worked for a bank writing commercial loans and he was let go in January. He's not much younger than me and could have taken early retirement but his kids live all over and he likes to travel to visit them. He will be taking a job in Hollywood, Florida and is there now setting up his apartment. When he returns, Chico and him will hit the road to a new life.  I didn't know, but he's had this apartment for a few years, anticipating to retire there. He's only about 15 blocks from the beach. We met them in July of 2018, when Chico was only 9 or 10. Now he's almost 15! He had a few other sitters in that time but mostly we have been taking care of him. He's been Abe's only playmate. This first picture is from his first stay with us and then a few more with Abe. Faith set up her tripod and camera to get some pics of all of us. This one we got Abe in, but we picked another one to frame for his ...
