Some People

After my last stay, I thought the owner might leave me a nice review considering all the trouble I had. She has never left me one, even though I've asked. She did leave me one, but it was a backhanded compliment and it pissed me off. Out of 173 review I've only received one 4-star. Rover is doing their reviews different so I don't really know what star count she gave me, but it had to be 4 or below.   She assumes I can't handle 3 dogs. Well, if they're well behaved dogs, there is no problem. So other than pissing me off, it hurt my feelings. No one will really see it, since I don't take new clients anymore but I still had to respond. Another change that Rover has done is when someone leaves a review, the sitter can only see it if they do a review back. I think it's so stupid because it will be made public and the owner will see it too. But there is an option to just skip the process to see your review. Now I wish I had done one, but this was the best recours...

Eight, One, and Three

Last weekend I did some drop-ins for Julie. She officially adopted the one Tabby that was returned, as well as Nutmeg the Calico. That makes 5 inside and 3 out. If she's on a work trip, her daughters stay with their dad. Very often they have to come home to grab something they forgot. They'll let a cat or two in but I don't know unless she tells me or I just see them wandering around. Ya just never know what you're going to see around here! Here's 3 out of 8. Faith spent 2 nights at my older brother's sitting their dog Ivy. They treated her very well with a Valentine's goody bag and a crisp 100 dollar bill. I said if I stayed, I'd probably get a bag of rocks, ha. Currently I'm back with Comet, Sprocket, and Winnie. I can barely handle the no sleeping because one dog is on my head and one on my feet. The big one is the only one that stays in her lane. But yesterday morning was the last straw. The black one always eats things he shouldn't so I have...

I Survived

This was a long stay with Kody. He is just the sweetest boy but not being able to play outside meant many trips downstairs and back up; and he still wasn't ready to stop. I brought a few toys from home as well as our snuffle mat that we don't use anymore. He really liked rooting around in it for treats. I would also put a tiny bit of sugar free peanut butter on the ends of his chew bone. Neither took a long time but he needs more enrichment than just a ball. I tried. I only went home twice because he can't stay home too long by himself and it didn't seem worth it. But it was nice to spend some time with Chico and Abe when I was able to. Faith came over Friday for awhile because she needs enrichment too, ha. Kody loved her and wanted to leave with her. It was good for all of us. I only made one wind chime and got a start on two more, but just stalled out. There's just so much involved and I swear some of the supplies were still at home and I need ALL of them with me....
