Feel Like Complaining

I've been using Walmart's site to store shipping for quite awhile. You can get it shipped for free and it only takes a quick trip to the store to pick it up. Several months ago they made it even easier so you don't have to walk all the way to the back of the store. They put nice chairs up front and lockers to put items in. As you get close to the store, use your app, and your package will be brought right up to you. Or if it's already in a locker, someone will come and open it for you. Faith and I saw something the other day that made us feel like we was in the Jetson's cartoon. I was at a sitting job closer to another Walmart and ordered my mom a new blood pressure machine. Since it was already in the store, I knew it would be ready soon. Faith met me at the store and we grabbed a few things first. Then I got a notification that my package was available to pick up. We walked over to the pick up area and saw this giant tower in front of us. It's like a hug...

This year is just racing to the finale and I'm trying to keep up. Last week we had the adorable Chico back; just love this little guy. Then I went to stay with Charley and Abbie again for a few days. Sadie was here for her 8th stay! We saved our BarkBox for her to open. I hadn't painted many fall rocks but did this set of scarecrows. Yesterday we walked Sadie at a local park and I left them all there. They're all less than 2 inches big and so dang cute; it was hard to let them go. I have to start my long sitting for Sasha the day after Thanksgiving so we had our dinner yesterday. It was kind of nice to switch things up; I mean it's just a meal and if it's only us three it doesn't disrupt anyone else's schedule. So Happy Thanksgiving ya'll, sorry I beat you to it!

Not long after we got started with pet sitting, we had the dog I swear was a Dingo. While playing, she had taken a swipe with her paw and hit my glasses. I've been whacked harder by limbs or whatever comes my way. But a tiny crack appeared on the edge of the lens, and that's the only thing I can attribute it to. It grew, but so slowly that I just kept putting of getting new lenses. Finally the crack had crept into my line of sight and I knew I had to bite the bullet. I was determined to keep my frames to cut down on the cost, but of course I saw a new frame that I just loved. The next week I walked out with new glasses and a $600 bill. During the vision exam he noticed that I had mild cataracts and high eye pressure. He wanted me back for further testing which I did last week. My Mom has Glaucoma so it's something I'm always aware of. The cataracts are not that concerning to him yet but the Glaucoma is. He wants me back in a month to compare the readings but said...

Our little trip was so much fun; we crammed in as much stuff as we could in four days time. I've got pictures up on my other blog to peruse: Pictorial Soul To me, the reason I enjoyed this excursion is that it was fall, and a lot cooler. In this area which gets very hot in the summer, always had us seeking shelter to get comfortable. While it rained every day at home we had some sprinkles and temps around 50.  It was perfect for just a light jacket or none at all. I had so much more energy, as long as my legs and feet didn't give out. We were at the tail end of seeing fall colors before the leaves dropped, but everything was still beautiful. I really love the entire Wenatchee Valley, possibly because family roots run deep. When my Mom was little, her parents had a dairy farm in an area they called Camas Land. Now it's called Camas Meadows and it's a Natural Area Preserve. She would deliver the milk and take my Mom with her. My Grandma's brothers and sisters all ...
