The Tesla protest was OK. I estimate about 150 were there, but it very low key. There's hardly any traffic on that street, but the majority that went by were in support. Now that this is a recurring thing, the Magas are showing up too. There were 4-5 guys that pulled up in a van and they each had their big flag parading in the middle of the street. They weren't harassing anyone, but rather had very weird smiles, like they were trying to convince people they were the good guys.  The protest on April 5th (Hands Off) will be better I'm sure and we did plan to go, but the day before Tony's having surgery on his face to remove a cancer spot. He's supposed to lay low after, so it would be best if he didn't go. If I weren't staying at Steve's I would, but to drive 20 miles round trip doesn't make much sense to me. There will be plenty more I'm sure! I've been trying to think of things to sell to make some money. I have one of my mom's rings that...

Teddy

Saturday I got home from Teddy's. It was a very pleasant stay and he just keeps getting cuter, and smarter! I had been playing with the laser for a couple of nights. The night before I left, I forgot about it and was turning lights off to go to bed. He jumped up on the table where the lasers are; and he never jumps on tables. He gently touched them to let me know that's what he wanted. What? Mind Blown! Of course I had to oblige him.  Furnace update; we got a new pump and all is well. We shall live another day. Hanks house is officially sold and there will be a lot of action soon. I think it will always be Hank's house to us. My newest paintings that I've done here and there. Margie has this little area where she puts all the things I've made her; it's really sweet. I even painted the little easel that my sand dollar sits on; she asked if I could because it was just dark brown.  Tomorrow we're all going to take part in a Tesla protest. I'm pretty excited...

Death By Furnace (almost)

I got to spend part of last week back with Luka and it was such a nice change from the week before. I fall more in love with him every time I see him. A week ago Friday, we had our oil furnace serviced, just normal stuff. We can always expect the house to be a little stinky for a day but after a few days, it had not subsided. I said I would call them but I didn't. It's not only stinky; it made my throat hurt, eyes burn and gave me a headache. I left for Luka's but when I got back, I swear it was worse. We turned the furnace off and opened doors and windows.  They got someone out right away, but sent the dufus I've dealt with before. His MO is "I don't hear/smell anything". I raised enough of a fuss that they sent the original guy and someone else. They found a gasket to be leaking at the pump. Then it was flowing under the blower and the stench would blow around the house. One guy left and the original guy fixed it. He put a small container under the pump,...

Welcome To Shitville!

My last week with Remy was abysmal! Sure he's adorable; but he's an untrained, undisciplined boy that reminds me of a grade school bully, and he made me cry. I just can't even go into it, but it was probably the worst stay I've ever had. His mom asked if he was too much for me and I was honest and said he needs someone with more energy. That was the nicest I could be. They are very nice people and I enjoyed their home. After they landed, she tipped me 100 bucks and then left a great review later.  The night before I came home, Faith messaged me from work to say that she had been let go. WTF! After only 4 months. They were always honest about the finances of the clinic and they tried some things to cut down on expenses, but one of the owners was using her own retirement to pay venders and make payroll. She just couldn't do it anymore. Two girls were let go and one was cut down to 3 days a week. If Faith had been able to start doing rooms instead of surgical patient c...

Remy

New Doggo Alert! Not really a new family because we had watched their former dog at our house but it's been several years ago. This is Remy, a Cairn Terrier. He turned 3 on the day I arrived. He's full of spitfire and can be stubborn about going into his crate at night.  Since I haven't been here long; I don't know a lot about him. I do know that you can't put anything on the floor, because he will grab it. First time I met him, I put my purse on the floor. He nosed in and took a snack and hid under the kitchen table. His mom had to bribe him out with a treat of his own. I put my dirty clothes on the floor when I change at night and he promptly took my shirt and underwear and ran around the house with them. He's a good walker and it's pretty much a necessity to keep him calmer during the day. His favorite toy is a squeaker. Do you know they actually make just squeakers as toys? My back doesn't like all that bending over though. I've been trying to pa...
