More Etc...?
I am just getting so clever with my titles! Friday and Saturday I stayed with Luka. We had to take our walks early because I'm sure he's with me and doesn't like the heat.
Tonight I'll be staying at Julie's and because of the heat, I'm not looking forward to it. The bedrooms are upstairs and I'm not so sure there are even a/c vents up there. I have bought sooooo many fans and they're all going with me! I don't know everything, but I believe she has cancer and will be having a stem cell transplant. That won't happen until the 18th though. She has a super organized contact list of all of the people that will be coming to the house and the neighbors and how they will help out, and even her own caregiver and her mom's caregiver as well as ex husband. You know what they say; 'it takes a village', and I'm real happy to be a part of it. I've known her for about 8 years and although it's a working relationship, I care about her and her cats. I care about all of my clients because I've known them for so long. OK, I'm getting sappy now but this has really thrown me for a loop. Leo feels the same.
I got another perm last week. It had only been a month since my first but it got so flat on top, I just didn't like the bozo look. I hope this one lasts a bit longer. I plan to let it continue to grow until I figure it's enough. I have to wear a bonnet now at night so my Cpap straps don't get tangled.
Friday was my dad's birthday. He would have been 96; it's hard to believe he's been gone for 43 years. I don't think about it a lot, but sometimes it hits me. Faith and I were talking recently about the possibility that he died of sleep apnea; although alcoholism and a heart problem certainly played its fair share. Because sleep apnea has hereditary tendencies and all of his kids now are on a Cpap, it's possible. It's something that Faith will now have to pay attention to for her own health.
You might think us silly but we are planning a vacation for next summer. I guess I've finally recovered recovered from SF. As much as we love the Oregon coast, we seem to have done it all with as far as we're able to go. It's been many years since we've been to the Forks, Wa area, but most of the motels have bad reviews since being taken over by big companies. Faith found a nice place in Port Angeles, so that's where we're headed. We'll stay somewhere else coming and going, since it's just too far for one day. We have one of those places booked and have to wait awhile for the others to become available. The super nice thing is that Faith is going to pay for more than half of the trip. I can dig it!!
