Postponed

My eye surgery didn't happen on Monday which was very disappointing. Long story short; I was pre approved for the standard lens and because everyone's case is different, we thought the astigmatism lens would be better for me. My insurance has to deny the first one and then we can re-apply for the second one and adding on another procedure to each eye for my glaucoma. There are 2 different types of correction for that; both being very interesting, but we'll see which one my ins. will cover. I will  have to pay for the upgraded lens but I had planned for that anyway. We have kept my original 2nd eye appt. to now be my first and then make another one for the second. Makes perfect sense, right?

It was such a long day with eye tests/scans, dilation/numbing drops; all for nothing. But at least that part is over and it will hopefully be a smooth day of surgery, whenever I do get there.

We've had Chico with us for the past two weeks and he's been the usual good boy enjoying what walks we could do and finding a lap, usually mine. Sometimes he will share with Abe too.

Last weekend we went to my oldest step-son's for dinner; it's been a year since we've seen them. Even Tony's ex was there and it's been even longer since we've seen her. She didn't even know who Faith was since it's been so long. She also doesn't see well, but it was still funny when she said "who's that?" It was really great to see everyone and I'm glad we had the chance to go.

Currently I'm in Airway Heights for a 17 day stay with Max and Oli. Steve is my longest term client since he was my first sitting job. He was so nice over Christmas and paid me for the whole time I would have been there instead of just the weekend that I did. Then he added a couple tips and a Christmas card with more money in it. I was blown away.

The end of January marks a couple of anniversaries for me. Six years of pet sitting and 15 years of blogging! Again, blown away. Should I keep going, another 15 years perhaps? I know I don't have 15 more years of pet sitting in me....but maybe blogging.
