500!

This is officially my 500th post! I don't even know how to write it properly and can't believe I've made it this far. For my die hard fans (all 5 of you) I thank you for sticking with me. I'm sure some of you don't have as many posts but many probably have much more. Others that don't comment anymore, or even come around, I miss you. I always wished I had more of a following but I guess I really just write for myself so anyone that joins me is just icing on the cake.

Thank you all for being my sounding board, my shoulder to cry on, and sharing in my joys. I realize that most of my posts are rants, but I hope occasionally I inspire you to think and maybe see things differently like I do when I read your posts. Although I don't really think of myself this way, I'd like to hope that I  am sometimes thought provoking......or funny. I'll take either.

For awhile now I've been keeping my posting to every 5 days, any more and I would just be pulling things out my Ass just because I felt I had to write something. Sometimes I have many in my queue and other times I'm panicking at the 11th hour to get something finished. It can be a chore sometimes but most of the time I enjoy it a lot.

So thanks again for reading, and here's to 500 more!

That is me, I write for myself. I usually don't struggle or set myself to write at certain times. I write when (if) the mood strikes me. I guess it strikes me a lot. :O

I decided some time ago to give up the chase for followers. It wasn't what it was all about I felt. I don't comment as much as I should, because sometimes it is a struggle to know what to say. But I am still here and still looking in on others blogs from time to time. I have also weaned myself off having to write every day.

It's hard to maintain a rigid writing schedule. I don't know how many posts I've written since 2007 when I started. I've started six or eight blogs, never anything important, just start one when I felt the need to write, shut it down when I run out of anything to say, then start another. Sometime health has played a part. You have been fantastic with your blogs. Here's to another 500.

Live isn't always best

A fairly new trend by some FB business pages is go 'live' with either a Q and A, news broadcast, or just to connect with fans. I've tried to watch a few but the video quality is poor. If a FB page has a regular TV show, I would just rather watch them there. I follow one of our news stations on FB and they started going live a few months ago. I don't know if it's the entire broadcast or just a small part of it. At first the notifications were annoying so I finally stopped them but twice a day along with their regular news updates, half of the screen is taken up by: KXLY is now live! Still Her Advocate

As a parent gets older, their children take on rolls to make things easier for them. Simple phone calls to complain about Mom's phone being down was so stressful to her, especially when it happens over and over. I would have to call her phone company several times a year and always had the same spiel, "No, I'm not going to unplug it and plug it back in, this is an ongoing problem and she uses a lifeline so she NEEDS her phone". Then they would send someone out on emergency status.  At her new home we'd have to step in to tell the owner and girls what Mom liked and how she liked things done. Yes she was particular but it would make their life so much easier if they did it her way. She had so many things taken away from her the day she moved in; just give her control over a few things. Exploding Snails

serves them right for eating something so gross in the first place These two idiots in California are suing the Seafood Peddler restaurant in San Rafael over an alleged incident of "exploding" escargot. Chadwick St.-OHarra and Steve Righetti were celebrating Righetti's birthday at the restaurant and they both ordered the escargot. As they dove into the little devils with their cocktail forks the snails squirt out hot garlic butter on both of their faces and polo shirts. St-OHarra cried that butter got into one of his tear ducts causing 'temporary vision impairment' and said he was genuinely outraged about the incident. Maybe he should have sued his mother for naming him Chadwick, a name like that is just asking for trouble. And have you ever been outside when a tiny little bug flies into your eye.
